The 3 Elements of our Music Video

After debating about what location to use for our video and realising that we can't use the forest due to the cold weather and bumpy ground which is not suitable for dance, we began to think of different locations such as this car park below.

However we soon realised as a group that this doesn't compliment the simplicity of the track which is what makes it so beautiful whereas a car park is very urban and misleading for a viewer who would be most likely thinking 'Why are they dancing in a car park?'

Another idea we have considered was to use the studio and rig a small amount of light that was used in the original video for simplistic effect.

We stumbled upon Tom Odell's video 'Another Love' which gave us inspiration after realising we only had 2 strong elements to our video. From this we got the idea of the girlfriend being completely obsessed with the boy, always trying to gain his attention but he is not listening in which he expresses this through dance.

We will most likely have couple shots of the two doing typical teenage things for another strand to make the video more visually interesting such as going to the cinema, hanging out in the park and maybe getting the train. Their relationship will gradually grow further apart emotionally and physically as we get through the video.

We were also inspired by shadows that that have been used in other videos which we believe make the video visually more interesting. This was due to the lyrics in the video such as 'flickering lights'.
